I hope you don't mind me asking what the group size is for all the "warm" barrel shots for the Savage. In other words how much change is it really from the extreme spread of the rest of the group?

With the Savage, other than the cold bore shot the remaining shots comprise a 0.5-0.75 MOA group. As with the two Remington 700s I dry practice to eliminate the cold shooter factor.
